与此同时，随着中印开始缓和紧张关系，印度与俄罗斯之间的交易模式也发生了变化，从过去的俄罗斯向印度出售武器装备，到现在印度向俄罗斯销售武器装备。而且，美国一直在拉拢国家针对俄罗斯，尤其不允许有国家向俄罗斯提供武器装备，如今印度和俄罗斯达成交易，可以说，印度直接对着美国“贴脸开大”。
要知道，中国、俄罗斯、伊朗都是美国处处针对的国家，印度却和这几个国家谈起了合作，此举无疑彻底走在了美国的对立面，难道印度真的要与美国划清界限了？
在国际政治的舞台上，风云变幻是常态，而这一系列事件更是让人感到历史正处在一个重大的转折点。曾经风光无限的美国，如今似乎越来越面临着国际关系中的孤立。一直以来，美国方面奉行的都是“美国优先”的政策，这样的政策在之前很有用，但现在似乎已经不符合时代发展的潮流了。

印度方面采取的这些外交行动，既显示了其作为一个崛起中的大国的自信，也向外界展示了其不愿成为国际政治棋盘上的棋子，而是希望成为下棋的一方。印度正在用自己的方式定义“多极世界”的含义，其行动无疑将对国际关系的未来格局产生深远影响。
